The Centre for Medical Education (C4ME) is looking to recruit a Clinical Lecturer in Community Clinical Learning to join our existing team. The role will undertake teaching for undergraduate medical students in primary and community care in line with the curriculum requirements for the C21 MBBCh course at Cardiff University. Ensuring the learning environment at Cardiff stands out as nationally and internationally excellent.
The successful applicant will contribute to the teaching in all phases of community curriculum, including assessing assignments, and participate in other teaching and planning as needed by the Community Phase Leads.
The successful applicant may be required to deliver some teaching in our Undergraduate teaching centres usually based in teaching hospitals in South Wales, so a current full driving licence with access to own vehicle or independent means of transport is necessary.

The Clinical Lecturer in Community Clinical Learning will contribute to scholarship and research as relevant and maintain and regularly update clinical and educational knowledge relevant to this position.
Applicants should have a subject specialist knowledge of primary care and relevant teaching experience related to medicine at undergraduate or postgraduate level. They should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the contribution of Community Clinical Learning to the MBBCh programme.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate knowledge of assessment and feedback strategies used in undergraduate or postgraduate medical training and the ability to provide appropriate pastoral and academic support to students as needed.
The post is based at various Off Site locations and the Heath Park Campus.

This post are part time (7.5 hours per week (working on a Thursday)), open ended and available immediately.
This role is suitable for a qualified General Practitioner and will be on the appropriate point of the GP Educator salary scale, £113,424 per annum (pro-rata).
