Lecturer / Senior Lecturer at the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences
Cardiff University, School of Optometry and Vision Sciences is seeking to recruit a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our supportive academic community.
The School of Optometry and Vision Sciences is proud to be internationally recognised for the quality of its teaching and research. You will work with internationally renowned experts in their field in a purpose-designed building, which brings together teaching, research, and patient-facing clinics together in the one place.
For this post, we are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking GOC registered optometrist who has a passion for education with an ability to develop, deliver and evaluate a range of undergraduate and postgraduate taught modules and programmes.
You should have a postgraduate advanced qualification in Independent Prescribing and/or significant experience in this specialist area.

We seek candidates where there will be excellent synergy between personal and School ambitions and offer the role on a Teaching and Scholarship (T&S) or Teaching and Research (T&R) academic pathway.
The role is offered on a part-time basis up to 80% (4 days per week).

Salary:
£51,753 - £56,535 per annum, pro rata (Grade 7) or
£61,759 - £67,478 per annum, pro rata (Grade 8)
