Internal Applicants Only - University Dean for Global-Civic
We are seeking an exceptional leader to become our University Dean for Global-Civic. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, this strategic role will shape and lead Cardiff University’s global-civic agenda, ensuring our local, national and international engagement activities support delivery of the University’s Strategy, Mission and values.
Working closely with the University Executive Board, academic leaders and professional services colleagues, you will drive a coordinated approach to global and civic engagement, embedding partnership, collaboration and impact across the institution.
You will lead the development and delivery of the University’s global-civic strategy, build and sustain influential partnerships with governments, businesses, community organisations, NGOs and international institutions, and act as a senior ambassador for Cardiff University at national and international levels.
We are seeking a strategic, collaborative and influential leader with a strong track record of delivering organisational change, developing partnerships and leading complex initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to shape Cardiff University’s contribution to society, enhance our reputation and impact, and ensure global-civic engagement is fully integrated across our research, education and wider activities. The role is open to individuals with significant leadership experience from within academia or other relevant sectors.
Role
The role is available at 0.8FTE and fixed term for three years. The role holder will receive an annual one-off non-pensionable allowance of £6,000.
