Internal Applicants Only - Dean for International Student Experience
We are seeking an exceptional academic leader to become our Dean for International Student Experience. This strategic leadership role will shape and enhance the experience of Cardiff University’s international students, ensuring an outstanding, inclusive and globally connected student journey wherever and however students study with us.
Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education and Student Experience), you will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues, the International Office and the Students’ Union to champion the international student voice and drive initiatives that enhance engagement, employability, mobility, wellbeing and academic success.
You will provide leadership across the student lifecycle, from recruitment and induction through to graduation and alumni engagement. The role will lead initiatives that internationalise the student experience, strengthen transnational education, expand global mobility opportunities, and ensure a high-quality and consistent experience across Cardiff’s international campuses and partnerships.
We are seeking a collaborative and influential leader with substantial experience of international education, partnership development and student experience enhancement. With strong strategic vision, cultural awareness and relationship-building skills, you will represent the University in diverse international contexts and help shape Cardiff University’s global educational community.This is an exciting opportunity to ensure international students continue to thrive as valued members of our institution.
Role
The role is available at 0.8FTE and fixed term for three years. The role holder will receive an annual one-off non-pensionable allowance of £6,000.
