Internal Applicants only - Dean for International Research Partnerships
We are seeking an exceptional academic leader to become our Dean for International Research Partnerships. This strategic leadership role will shape and strengthen Cardiff University’s global research partnerships, ensuring they are strategically aligned, equitable, reciprocal and supported by robust governance arrangements.
You will work closely with the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Enterprise), the International Office, Deans, and colleagues across the University to develop, enhance and oversee our portfolio of international research partnerships. You will play a central role in delivering the University’s Global Plan and Research and Innovation Delivery Plan, supporting the growth of high-quality international collaboration, research income, outputs and impact.
You will lead the development of frameworks, systems and processes that enable international partnerships to flourish, while acting as a senior ambassador for Cardiff University with international governments, funders, embassies, universities and external organisations.
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative leader with a strong track record of international research collaboration, partnership development and stakeholder engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the University’s international research agenda and enhance Cardiff University's global reputation and impact. The role is open to academic members of staff with the appropriate experience and expertise who can provide dedicated academic leadership in this area.
Role
The role is available at 0.8FTE and fixed term for three years. The role holder will receive an annual one-off non-pensionable allowance of £6,000.
